Rev. Nick Kirby
Associate Pastor for Education & Family Ministry
Nick Kirby serves at Belton First Baptist as Associate Pastor for students and education. Nick grew up in Columbia, South Carolina and graduated from Anderson University in 2008 with a B.A. in Christian Ministry. He came on staff with FBC on November 1, 2009. In 2013, while serving as Youth Pastor, Nick completed his Master of Ministry at AU.
Nick and his wife, Whitney, married in 2009. They have three sons, Hudson (6), Tate in heaven, Charlie (2), and Brinkley (In heaven. The Kirby’s love spending time together enjoying the outdoors.
Rev. Matt Wurst
Associate Pastor for Students
Matt Wurst serves at Belton First Baptist as Associate Pastor for Youth. Matt grew up in Anderson, South Carolina and graduated from Clemson University in 1997 with a B.A. in Social Studies Education. He obtained a Masters degree in Sports Management in 2002 from the United States Sports Academy. In 2005 Matt became a National Board-Certified teacher. He has been a school teacher and coach at Belton-Honea Path High School since 2000 where he also serves as the FCA Huddle Coach. Matt has been involved at Belton First Baptist since 2006.
Matt and his wife, Amy, married in 1998. They have two children; Jacob is a Medical school student at South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville and Grace is a student at Anderson University where she is studying Elementary Education. Matt loves watching sports, especially the Chicago Cubs and Clemson football, and spending time with his family.
